Cameron Armstrong (Sebastian and the Deep Blue, Honeysuckle Rye) and Caitlin Belem (Maracuja) started their project Modern Bygones 6 month ago in hopes of bringing together their collective background of Jazz, Blues, Brazilan and American folk music to create something new and exciting. The product of this union has manifested itself in a collection of original and traditional songs arranged for duo. These songs attempt to explore humanistic troubles, trails, and triumphs in the realms of culture, society, love and the inexplicable human psyche. This collection is lyrically and musically presented in a way that stylistically references early American music, yet attempts to present current and personal subject matter in a general manner that holds pertinence to the past and the present alike.

Seattle based Modern Bygones was conceived in 2015 by guitarist/vocalist Cameron Armstrong (Sebastian and the Deep Blue, Honeysuckle Rye) and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Caitlin Belem (Maracuja).
